Quick Spring Exchange
At first, we wanted to describe the process of changing the spring here, but when we reviewed the final draft, we realized that actually doing it in the field is faster than reading this paragraph. Check out how in the Academy.
Collapsible Stock
A simple pull & turn and the stock is locked onto your shoulder. Being able to collapse your stock is great for both transport and slinging the SSR249. The metal rods are covered in polymer for a smooth feel.
Full Auto Only
That's it, your finger is your fire selector, you direct the burst in the directions you wish for. This is truly meant to be a full auto only, one continuous stream of BBs. Controlled chaos at your fingertips.
Battery Access
The battery can be accessed by removing three screws. We chose this solution to make the whole handguard rock solid with zero wobble.
Hop-Up Chamber
The hop-up unit and wheel are fully CNC-machined with a slick purple anodized finish. This TDC rotary chamber ensures consistent BB placement, and durability.
Steel Sling Points
The SSR249 comes with steel sling mounting points in the front and the back, keeping your sling hooks secure. Our preferred sling choice for the SSR249 is the Universal Sling.
CNC Handguard
The solid aluminium handguard features a hard bottom mounting system, providing a secure base for accessories like grips, flashlights, and PEQ boxes. This setup ensures your gear stays firmly in place and also provides ample space for your battery.
Real Weight
Weighing 7kg when fully loaded and 5.8kg unloaded, the SSR249 offers a solid feel. While lighter than its real-steel counterpart, running the it will give you the feeling of a real machine gun.

Iron Sights
The adjustable iron sights are sturdy and easy to use. They give you consistent aiming out of the box without needing extra optics. If you prefer a different look, you can also remove them.
24K High-Torque Motor
The 24K neodymium magnet high-torque motor ensures rapid trigger response and a high rate of fire. With an 11.1V LiPo battery, it delivers 20 rounds per second. 2000 BBs mag dump ready.
Gearbox Assembly
The gearbox is exceptionally strong and beefy. It's equipped with 16:1 CNC steel gears and a full steel piston rack, a POM piston head, a POM cylinder head, and 8mm bearings for smooth operation and reliability.
Trigger Switch
The trigger switch includes a standard 249 trigger with a durable lever connector, designed to prevent melting and poor connections seen in the past.
Hop-Up Chamber
The SSR249's CNC-machined rotary-style Hop-Up chamber is machined to tight tolerances for smooth function and finished with durable purple anodisation. It features a TDC hard nub, ensuring the performance of the Maple Leaf Super Macaron 60° bucking.
LiPo Battery
The SSR249 is fully compatible with LiPo batteries and features a pre-installed T-Dean battery connector. This setup ensures efficient power delivery and reliable performance. Thanks to the trigger switch, the battery will not drain if you forget to unplug it.
Barrel Assembly
The 350mm inner barrel with a 6.03mm inner diameter provides optimal air efficiency and precision. The inner barrel features two O-rings to stabilize and center it in the outer barrel. Locking points on the outer barrel at both the front and back secure the alignment of the assembly.
Collapsible Stock
Great for maneuverability and transport. The plastic-coated aluminum rods make the stock more durable and allow for smooth, scratch-free operation.
